As the Nurse Unit Manager for Inpatient Services, you’ll play a vital leadership role overseeing the Acute Ward, guiding staff, and ensuring excellence across clinical practice, patient experience, and operational performance.

This fixed‑term, full‑time role (parental leave cover from March 2026 to March 2027) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and values‑driven leadership group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Acute Ward’s daily operations and clinical performance
  • Drive high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care across Inpatient Services
  • Support and mentor staff, fostering a positive and empowering team culture
  • Ensure effective workforce planning, resource allocation, and service delivery
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing
  • Uphold organisational values and contribute to strategic service improvement

Key Skills / Qualifications Required

  • Registered Nurse with relevant AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing leadership or NUM‑equivalent positions
  • Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and team‑building skills
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and best‑practice standards
  • Ability to model integrity, empathy, accountability, and professionalism
  • Working rights in Australia and willingness to undergo required employment checks
